Collaborative working in Wakefield

Our Wakefield LSE team were delighted to be invited to the SEND Employment Forum Launch Event in Wakefield. Hosted by the Preparing for Adulthood team the event brought together education providers, young SEND students, as well as employers to form a partnership in supporting young SEND adults in Wakefield towards employment.

We were delighted to be able to showcase our Local Supported Employment Project focused on helping adults with autism and learning disabilities into employment in the area. The event saw several speakers with powerful stories from individuals themselves who have been through supported internships talking about their experiences and the opportunities they have been given by local employers. Our team are fortunate to be part of such amazing networks and we are looking forward to continuing to work with the forum going forward.
