First Routes

Supporting individuals to seek employment through personalised one to one support

We recognise that many individuals may struggle to access mainstream programmes or may not be able to find specialist support in local areas, therefore we have opened up our pre employment support to the whole of the UK.

Our First Routes programme offers personalised one to one support to help individuals identify and overcome barriers on their journey towards employment.

We can offer support face to face in our Sheffield office or online via video calls to suit the needs of the individual.

Support is typically for around 1 hour per week, but this can be flexible depending on the individual.

If you have access to a direct payment via social care or have the ability to self fund support then get in touch to find out more.

We offer a free initial appointment to understand your needs and explain more about the support we can provide.

What support does the programme offer?

Our First Routes support offers bespoke personalised sessions to help:

  • Develop personalised action plan to help you overcome barriers
  • Help develop your confidence and self esteem in the workplace
  • Help with goals and aspirations
  • Support to access volunteering
  • Developing employability skills
  • Helping individuals to access employment, education or training

“Before finding Autism plus I was stuck in a rut with no direction outside of my safe bubble and routines. I was fortunate to attend a Job fair at Magna where I found out about Autism plus and the support they offer. Working together Autism Plus helped me step out my bubble and build confidence to do things outside of the things I know about am good at or familiar with.

Thanks to Autism plus I am now employed and working at a Warehouse for clothing goods and have been there 2 years now.  I learned interview skills and how to be professional in situations and this has allowed me to get into this part time work and have been settled there ever since whilst still having support in place to make sure If I have any issues I can sort them out.

If you are struggling like I was and have Aspergers or any Autism form then contact Autism Plus it was one of the best things I did for my life improvement.”
